In an effort to distinguish the DNP from the PhD, the AACN White Paper (August 2015), recommended the use of the term, "DNP Team" to describe to individuals involved with a DNP Project. The DNP Student acts in the role of Team Leader, while other individuals contribute their own leadership and expertise in a collaborative way.
