INTERVENTION

Nurse practitioners are often overwhelmed with information during their clinical training. Infographics offer a new, novel approach to delivery of synthesized information and can be easily developed by faculty (Bradshaw, 2015). Since the majority of people are visual learners (Bellata, 2013), evidence suggests that presentation of complex concepts in a visual manner engages the audience, develops critical thinking, and is generally easier to understand than words alone (Davidson, 2014). Effective infographics are "ticklers" that spark intrest in a subject and lead their audience to further investigation (Bellata, 2013).

The World Health Organization's book Guide to Good Prescribing (1994) is the most highly utilized content for teaching principles of rational prescribing process (Kamarudin, 2013). However, it's use in nurse practitioner practice and education has not been well described (Scordo, 2014). Furthermore, to date, the content has not been visually translated into infographic format for purposes of prescribing education.
